As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility, and in line with March being recognized as “Women’s Month,” the Industrial Development Bank (IDB) announced the signing of a cooperation protocol with Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer. The partnership aims to support advanced medical equipment and enhance the services provided for the free treatment of women.

 

This collaboration reflects the bank’s dedication to supporting the healthcare sector and contributing to the provision of integrated medical care. The protocol includes contributing to the تجهيز of an intensive care unit at Baheya Hospital – Sheikh Zayed, in addition to supporting the hospital with a Cryotherapy Air Flow device at Baheya Haram branch, one of the latest technologies used for therapeutic and rehabilitation purposes. The cooperation also includes providing a specialized medical device, contributing to improving the efficiency of medical services and enhancing the quality of healthcare provided to patients.

 

The signing ceremony was attended by:

Alongside a distinguished group of leaders from both the bank and the foundation, in an atmosphere reflecting fruitful collaboration between the banking sector and civil society organizations to support impactful healthcare initiatives.

 

Mr. Hussein Refai, CEO and Managing Director of IDB, stated:

He further emphasized the bank’s commitment to raising health awareness among its employees, noting that initiatives will be launched for early breast cancer detection targeting all female employees. This comes in line with the bank’s belief in the importance of women’s health and their pivotal role in society, as well as its commitment to providing a supportive work environment that prioritizes employees’ health and well-being.

 

For his part, Eng. Maged Hamdy, Board Member of Baheya Foundation, expressed his sincere appreciation for this cooperation with IDB, stating:

“This support reflects the role of national institutions in backing healthcare and humanitarian efforts. It directly contributes to enhancing the foundation’s capacity to provide free early detection and treatment services in line with the highest quality standards. It also enables the expansion of services to reach a larger number of women, supporting awareness of the importance of early detection and increasing recovery rates.”
